Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care for orthopedic surgical patients in a dynamic hospital setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions pre- and post-surgery, and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs routinely.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, mobility, and rehabilitation.
• Coordinate with surgical teams, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient recovery.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or state of residence.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in orthopedics or surgical units.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures, post-op care, and pain management.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
