Job Summary:

The OR RN will provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient operative experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all sterile equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
• Administer patient perioperative care, including preoperative assessments and post-anesthesia care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement surgical plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs promptly.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage surgical instruments during procedures.
• Document patient information and surgical details accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina RN license or Compact license in hand prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to work 5x8 hour day shifts from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm.
• Willingness to float within scope and meet facility needs.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
