Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery department, supporting birthing processes and postpartum recovery. Oversees and coordinates care delivery for expectant mothers and their newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and monitor fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Nursing staff, maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Document all clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• At least two years of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and NRP certifications preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring, pain management, and postpartum care.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate compassionately with patients.
