Job Summary:

Provide advanced emergency nursing care to critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced ER setting. Ensure patient safety, stabilization, and efficient treatment according to medical protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage incoming patients to determine urgency and priority of care.
• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes, including dysrhythmias.
• Administer blood products, IV sedation, and vasopressors as prescribed.
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues, stroke, and ventilated patients.
• Manage central lines, start and maintain IVs, and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Follow isolation precautions and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active state nursing license (NY or compact) required; must provide application date if no NY license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of ER nursing experience; 2 years of recent ER experience preferred.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage critically ill patients.
• Strong clinical skills including managing IVs, arterial blood gases, and ventilated patients.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift, including every other weekend, with availability for 36 hours weekly.
