Job Summary:

Support neonatal and pediatric patients by providing specialized respiratory therapy care in a busy Level I trauma center. Ensure safe ventilation management and implement advanced respiratory interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor ventilator support, including Servo U and HFOV, to neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Independently assess patient conditions and modify ventilation parameters as needed.
• Set up and manage heliox and nitric oxide therapies through invasive and non-invasive methods.
• document patient care accurately using the Epic system and communicate findings with the healthcare team.
• Adhere to unit policies, including equipment protocols and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license.
• Possess 1+ year of neonatal or PICU critical care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with neonatal ventilation modes, including Bubble CPAP, bid, and nitric oxide administration.
• Be PALS certified.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilation setups required.
