Job Summary:
Provides specialized emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a critical access environment. Manages acute and urgent health situations with competence and professionalism, following established protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing interventions to stabilize and treat patients presenting with acute conditions.
• Perform EKGs, initiate IVs with IV pumps, and manage infusions in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians and techs, to deliver comprehensive care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Assist with patient transports, including ambulance transfers for higher-level care when necessary.
• Maintain readiness for shift changes, including precepting new nurses and ensuring adequate staffing.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• At least 1 completed travel assignment in a similar environment.
• Valid certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC (or proof of class with date applied).
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR software within the past 2 years.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays and rotating shifts.
