Job Description
Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine & CT Tech performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, requiring dual certification in Nuclear Medicine and CT. The role involves operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to clinical protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct nuclear medicine exams and therapeutic studies using GE and Philips cameras.
- Operate CT imaging equipment, including ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT).
- Maintain current certifications, including BLS, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Chart procedures accurately in the electronic health record system, preferably EPIC.
- Float within the assigned adult and nuclear cardiology settings, covering multiple locations as needed.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts, weekend, and holiday rotations, with flexibility for on-call and time-off requests.
Qualifications:
- Hold active NJ or Compact license required, or be eligible with pending license.
- Possess at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in nuclear medicine.
- Demonstrate proficiency with nuclear medicine exams, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Credentialed with ARRT(N), CNMT, and ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT).
- Be able to float to different imaging sites without exception.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
