Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to join the cardiac telemetry unit. This role involves providing expert patient care for cardiac patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac telemetry strips regularly.
• Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
• Perform procedures including IV insertions, Foley insertions, NGT placement, and chest tube maintenance.
• Interpret EKGs and telemetry data to identify cardiac events promptly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients on their care, including use of equipment and medication management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips.
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care and IV medication administration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
