Job Summary:
Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care in a dedicated maternity unit, supporting patient-centered birth experiences and ensuring safety for both mother and newborn. Collaborate with a specialized team to deliver comprehensive obstetric services in a Level 2 NICU environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients, supporting physiological birth processes and patient preferences.
• Administer medications, including MgSO4 and nitrous oxide, and manage fetal monitoring systems.
• Assist with procedures such as IUPC, FSE, and postpartum hemorrhage control.
• Collaborate with midwives, CRNA, and OB on call staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all care activities accurately in CPN and Meditech systems.
• Float to other units or departments as needed to support staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' labor and delivery experience.
• Possess advanced skills in fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures.
• Support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities.
• Be proficient with equipment used in labor and postpartum care.
