Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide specialized postpartum and labor and delivery nursing care within a hospital setting, supporting maternal and neonatal health during critical stages of childbirth and postpartum recovery. Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives to deliver personalized patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor maternal and neonatal medications, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
- Assess patient condition through ongoing clinical evaluation and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Educate and support new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive maternity services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and facility-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Hold a current Massachusetts RN license and active BLS certification.
- Demonstrate at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience, including postpartum and mother-baby care.
- Maintain active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE certifications.
- Own reliable transportation and include perm address in profile.
- Provide a supervisory reference from within the past two years.
