Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The RN will provide specialized care for post-op orthopedic, trauma, and neuro patients, ensuring quality outcomes and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and advanced clinical skills.
• Perform post-operative assessments and monitor patient recovery, especially for knee, hip, and shoulder replacements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic documentation system.
• Provide bedside shift reports and conduct hourly patient rounding to ensure optimal patient experience.
• Float to other MedSurg units as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent MedSurg or Orthopedic experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trauma, neuro overflow, and NIH protocols is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment management.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends, with flexibility to float.
