Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides advanced cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic support in the Cath Lab/EP department by assisting physicians during complex procedures involving heart and vascular system assessments. Operates specialized equipment, ensures patient safety, and maintains accurate documentation throughout clinical interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Support physicians during invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures with technical expertise and equipment setup.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging and physiologic assessment equipment, ensuring optimal functioning.
- Monitor, record, and evaluate patient vital signs and responses during procedures, maintaining patient safety.
- Maintain sterile environment and adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards.
- Assist with catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, including media administration via catheter or injection.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and report equipment malfunctions promptly to ensure optimal procedure readiness.
Qualifications:
- Hold current license as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) and valid radiologic technician (RT) license in California or applicable state.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved provider; current.
- Minimum of two years recent experience in Cath Lab or Electrophysiology (EP) settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Possess current fluoroscopy license (required within 6 months if in California).
- Show expertise in operating specialized cardiovascular procedural equipment, including C-Arm and angiographic injectors.
