Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive tracers, specializing in both exercise and pharmacological nuclear stress tests. They prepare and position patients, ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radionuclide procedures in accordance with patient protocols and safety standards.
• Conduct exercise and pharmacological nuclear stress tests to assess cardiac function.
• Prepare patients for nuclear imaging, including verifying documentation and completing necessary forms.
• Operate imaging equipment and optimize image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed records of all procedures and ensure proper documentation in the computer system.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements throughout each procedure.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NYS license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Be registered with NMTCB and maintain active certification.
• Possess experience performing exercise and pharmacological Nuclear Stress Tests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nuclear imaging procedures, safety protocols, and patient care standards.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail in documenting and filling out clinical forms.
• Capable of working efficiently within an 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM shift with a one-hour lunch.
