Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ensure optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical assessment and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor critically ill pediatric patients, prioritizing care based on acuity levels.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Document patient responses, interventions, and care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including code blue situations, ensuring patient safety.
• Float within the NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics departments as needed based on staffing demands.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license; Virginia license preferred or pending license submission.
• Valid BLS and PALS certifications required; Peds cardiac experience a plus.
• Minimum of one year of pediatric ICU nursing experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in critical care settings.
