Job Summary:
Providing specialized neonatal care, the RN in the NICU supports critically ill newborns and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. The role involves managing complex clinical conditions and performing advanced neonatal procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neonates' health status, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, central line management, and surfactant delivery.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage ventilator settings to support respiratory function.
• Perform bedside procedures such as feeding tube placements and neuro assessment.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with team members.
• Float to PICU, Peds, and Neonatal units as needed, providing consistent quality of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NJ or Compact RN license at the time of application.
• Have at least 1.5 years of experience, including Level III NICU and PICU clinical background.
• Demonstrate proficiency with IV therapies, airway management, and neonatal procedures.
• Possess current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Experience charting in EPIC required.
• Ability to work every other weekend, holidays, and accept on-call responsibilities.
