Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ensuring optimal recovery and safety. Manages a variety of acute and chronic conditions with skilled, compassionate attention.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of current acute care PCU experience.
• Hold BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
• Exhibit flexibility, teamwork, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Preferred: Chemo certification and prior experience with large cardiac populations.
