Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care in a per diem capacity, supporting on-call and strike shift requirements. Ensure patient safety and well-being while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patients’ responses in accordance with physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress and clinical observations accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and behavioral crises.
• Maintain strict adherence to compliance requirements, including licensure, certifications, and vaccination attestations.
• Assist with onboarding and compliance processes for strike shifts, ensuring readiness on scheduled dates.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active nursing license in good standing.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable.
• Demonstrate proven EPIC EMR system knowledge.
• Provide proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or attest to vaccination/declination.
• Have previous experience in psychiatric nursing or mental health settings.
• Be available to work during strike dates, including 9/3/26, with minimal onboarding requirements.
