Job Details

Job Summary: Performs and assists with advanced Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations, including interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab, utilizing sophisticated equipment to produce high-quality digital images. Supports physicians during complex cardiovascular studies and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to capture contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system.
• Position and immobilize patients on examination tables, following established protocols to ensure accurate imaging.
• Assist physicians during specialized procedures, including catheterizations and angiograms.
• Enter technical parameters into imaging systems, including radiation settings and filming sequences.
• Manipulate and adjust x-ray equipment, table height, and fluoroscopic devices based on physician instructions.
• Ensure patient safety by monitoring procedure and providing clear explanations to patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate's Degree or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology is preferred.
• At least two years of recent experience in Cardiac/Vascular imaging or interventional procedures.
• Current ARRT certification and state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating complex cardiovascular imaging equipment.
• Maintain current certification and licensure as required by state and facility.
