Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a PCU setting. Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, dysrhythmia recognition, and experience with cardiac monitoring to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit, maintaining a patient ratio of 4:1.
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, critical drips, and pre- or post-cardiac cath patient needs.
• Utilize GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps to ensure accurate and safe medication administration.
• Collaborate with a team of RNs and LNAs, providing support during busy shifts and coverage needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, maintain professionalism in scrubs, and follow unit-specific guidelines.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Compact RN license required for submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip management skills.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIAH certifications.
• Be self-directed, confident, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including every other weekend or as needed for staffing.
