Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides therapeutic support to patients under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists. They assist in implementing treatment plans to promote patient recovery and functional independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the implementation of individual treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
• Prepare treatment areas and gather necessary equipment for therapy sessions.
• Educate patients and family members on therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Adhere to protocol and safety standards during all patient interactions.

Qualifications:

• Possess an active OTA credential/license in the applicable state.
• Obtain a minimum of an associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
