Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Charge Nurse with extensive Medical Surgical experience to oversee adult to geriatric patient populations. This role requires clinical expertise, adherence to safety protocols, and coordination of patient care in a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate patient care activities for a team of nurses in a medical-surgical unit.
• Administer and manage IVs, PICC lines, blood products, and wound care procedures.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions, feeding tube management, and other clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools to streamline workflows.
• Supervise patient diagnoses, monitor patient safety, and support staff in clinical tasks.
• Participate in unit staffing and ensure census accuracy and patient safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in GA or a Compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience as a Charge RN.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and clinical procedures such as chest tubes and wound vacs.
• Ability to manage high census (1:6 ratio) and work within a busy environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
