Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients across various pediatric units. The position requires flexibility to float between units and adapt to different clinical settings as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, and other pediatric units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, utilizing advanced clinical skills to promptly address changes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, policies, and procedures, including UVAs float policy.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with patient discharge planning and family education to promote recovery.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required.
• Valid state RN license (pending licenses accepted with in-hand documentation required).
• Certifications including BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS required.
• PICU and NICU float pool experience highly preferred.
• Must hold Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification or be eligible to submit pending certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR and pediatric clinical care.
