Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN to float across various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, peds med-surg, peds PACU, peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby. The role requires flexibility to work different pediatric settings and ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in multiple units, adhering to unit-specific protocols.
• Float between pediatric units, maintaining competency and compliance with scope of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient condition, perform assessments, and respond promptly to changes.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with hospital policies.
• Comply with all certification, license, and hospital policies, including float and travel policies.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license.
• Hold at least 2 years of PICU experience with prior float pool exposure preferred.
• Have recent NICU and PICU experience, with comfort working in multiple pediatric critical care settings.
• Maintain current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Hold Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification or be able to submit pending certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic health records.
