Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN for a float pool position, covering various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby. This role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and adherence to facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients across multiple units.
• Float between units based on clinical needs, ensuring compliance with scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond promptly to emergent situations.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and guidelines including certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience in a pediatric setting.
• Current state RN license or pending, with verification prior to start.
• Hold BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate experience with Epic electronic health records.
• Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience highly preferred.
• Must have Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification (or pending submission).
