Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care and support to neonatal patients in a Pediatric ICU setting. Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies and interventions for neonatal patients with Level 4 NICU needs.
• Evaluate patient condition and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize respiratory function.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, assessments, and patient responses.
• Ensure compliance with certification standards such as RRT, BLS, and NRP.
• Float within scope of practice and adhere to facility policies, including travel and separation policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from a recognized organization.
• Possess at least 2 years of NICU experience, with Level 4 NICU expertise preferred.
• Be certified in BLS and NRP; cardiorespiratory experience is required.
• Have a current state license or pending license verification, with eligibility for temporary licensure if applicable.
• Demonstrate knowledge of pediatric and neonatal respiratory care protocols.
• Be able to work every other weekend and during winter holidays as required.
