Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical/Tele unit coverage. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications and be comfortable working with diverse patient populations, including forensic and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within the Medical Surgical/Tele unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and document clinical findings accurately.
• Participate in holiday rotations, working 3 out of 6 designated holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Complete all mandatory compliance training and certification requirements prior to start date.

Qualifications:

• Valid TN state license or multi-state compact license required at submission.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry units.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI required; MAB accepted in lieu of CPI.
• Demonstrate comfort working with the prison population and forensic units.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00).
• Current Nursys report with an active license; pending licenses not accepted.
