Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Labor and Delivery unit at a premier hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized obstetric care to ensure the health and safety of mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions using electronic fetal monitoring equipment.
• Assist with procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes and postpartum recovery.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current North Carolina nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certified in NRP and BLS/ALS.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-risk obstetric cases and immediate newborn care.
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures preferred.
• Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality suited to fast-paced hospital environment.
