Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 20-week assignment on a Stepdown unit within a hospital setting. The role involves providing specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and clinical management, with potential to float to adjacent units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Stepdown/IMC setting, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, including ECG rhythm identification.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including certification and licensing requirements, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Participate in orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, achieving acceptable scores.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or compact state license in nursing at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in a Stepdown or similar specialty.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be active and current.
• Demonstrate experience working with critically ill or monitored patients, including recent travel experience preferred.
• Provide one recent supervisor or manager reference reflecting clinical competence within the past 12 months.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation without exceeding two attempts.
