Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring optimal oxygenation and ventilation support. The Respiratory Therapist will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver critical care services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and develop care plans based on clinical needs.
• Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and interventions such as ventilator management.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all clinical activities.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning accurately.
• Comply with all certification, licensing, and hospital policies to deliver safe and effective care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license at the time of start.
• Possess a National Certification (NBRC RRT) and current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management and critical care procedures.
• Be able to float within scope to all hospital areas, including labor and delivery, as needed.
• Be able to work a 3x12 shift schedule, days from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, with holiday rotation.
