Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care within the operating room to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes. Supervises and coordinates perioperative nursing activities, collaborating with the surgical team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ condition preoperatively to ensure readiness for surgery.
• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and sterilization procedures in accordance with protocols.
• Administer medications and anesthesia under the direction of the anesthesia team.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during surgical procedures.
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical support staff to facilitate seamless operative care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate a minimum of two years recent experience in an operating room setting.
• Possess current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Have foundational knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and protocols.
• Show strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
