Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the sterile processing leadership, the Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for sterilizing medical instruments and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with hospital standards. The role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing sterile supplies efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and devices following established protocols.
• Decontaminate, assemble, wrap, and package instruments for sterilization.
• Ensure all sterilization processes meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Document sterilization activities and maintain accurate infection control records.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to meet equipment readiness demands.
• Float within scope to various departments and facilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrumentation.
• Hold current certification from CBSPD and/or HSPA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly.
• Experienced with Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, Transplant, and GYN cases preferred.
• Be able to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Meet state licensure or certification requirements as applicable.
