Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Tech performs crucial sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly duties within an acute care hospital setting. This role ensures the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments to support patient care and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Sterilize, decontaminate, and assemble surgical instruments according to protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes using hospital charting systems.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure instrument readiness for procedures.
• Inspect instruments for damage or wear and report defects promptly.
• Comply with facility and regulatory requirements including certifications and licensing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or related field.
• Valid CBSPD and/or HSAP certification required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterilization, decontamination, and scope reprocessing.
• Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, or GYN cases preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and hospital policies.
