Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a pulmonary stepdown unit. The role involves providing specialized care to patients with complex respiratory and cardiac needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with trachs, chest tubes, and ventilators.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and perform wound dressing changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
• Follow unit policies, protocols, and safety guidelines, including weekend and on-call shifts.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical or progressive care nursing experience.
• Maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with trach care, chest tubes, and wound care.
• Preferred experience using Cerner EMR and working with vented patients.
• Exhibit flexibility, clinical competence, and excellent communication skills.
