Job Summary:
The Echocardiogram Technologist performs adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures, including image acquisition, data entry, and interpretation of normal and abnormal cardiac findings. They support departmental needs by recognizing arrhythmias and related diagnoses to optimize study quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures according to established protocols.
• Edit tracings, make measurements, and document data accurately within the EMR system.
• Differentiate between normal and abnormal cardiac conditions and communicate findings as appropriate.
• Recognize arrhythmias and interpret implications for detailed cardiac assessment.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and adhere to dress code and safety standards.
• Maintain certification and licensure requirements, ensuring compliance with facility and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associates Degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS eligibility with one year of cardiac echo experience.
• Be certified through ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or RCS in Adult Echocardiography.
• Possess an active medical imaging license from the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in New Hampshire.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac sonography techniques and clinical procedures.
