Job Summary:
Provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Oversees the nursing team within the operating room, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare the operating room environment for surgical procedures.
• Administer nursing care before, during, and after surgeries, monitoring patient status continuously.
• Supervise and direct the activities of perioperative nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous experience in operating room or perioperative nursing preferred.
• BLS/HS-BLS or ARC-BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
