Job Summary:

Provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Assists surgical teams in ensuring patient safety, equipment readiness, and procedural flow throughout the operative process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and maintain sterile fields.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including proper positioning and identification.
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assess patient condition pre- and post-operation, contributing to care planning.
• Manage biohazardous materials and ensure proper disposal protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the practicing state.
• Possess an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• Have at least one year of full-time OR experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification; PALS preferred.
• CNOR certification is a plus.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical equipment, safety, and sterile procedures.
