Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing to patients in the ICU, ensuring continuous monitoring and advanced interventions. Supervises ancillary staff, delegates tasks appropriately, and maintains high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients including those requiring ventilation, neuro/trauma management, respiratory support, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice.
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and respond promptly to life-threatening emergencies.
• Perform routine and advanced nursing skills such as medication administration, intravenous therapy, and care of invasive devices.
• Follow established protocols for alarm management, patient assessment, and escalation procedures.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor.
• Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor.
• Successful completion of a Critical Care Nursing course.
• Minimum of six months of prior critical care experience.
• Ability to interpret ECG rhythms and manage complex patient situations independently.
