Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Monitor patient vital signs, read EKG strips, and manage cardiac drips confidently.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Exhibit proficiency in IV skills and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Complete required CEUs and certifications before start date.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN license.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrate strong wound care, IV, and cardiac monitoring skills.
• Travel experience preferred, with flexibility to float to Medical-Surgical units.
• NIH Stroke Certification required prior to start.
