Job Description
Job Summary:
The Neuro IR Tech is responsible for performing neurointerventional procedures, assisting physicians, and ensuring patient safety during complex interventional radiology treatments. This role requires technical expertise in neurovascular interventions within a teaching hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate advanced imaging equipment for neurointerventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring optimal patient positioning and procedural success.
- Monitor patient condition closely before, during, and after interventions.
- Maintain all required certifications, including BLS and ARRT (R).
- Manage radiation safety protocols, including providing and maintaining radiation badges.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record and adhere to hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Hold current ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in interventional radiology and neuro procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in neuro IR procedures and radiation safety practices.
- Be adaptable to floating within scope to meet facility needs (not required for this position).
- Possess South Carolina RN license or proof of application; in-state preferred.
- Have a maximum radius of 60 miles or approval for locals on a case-by-case basis.
