Job Summary:
An OR Tech is responsible for assisting in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and supporting the surgical team to deliver optimal patient care. This role requires versatile skills across various specialties, including orthopedics and urology.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with sterile equipment and supplies prior to surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons by handling instruments and supplies during surgeries.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Support anesthesia and nursing staff with necessary tasks during surgeries.
• Manage and organize surgical instruments for efficient turnover between cases.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling orthopedic, urology, and other surgical cases, including total joints, spine, and general surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Endorse current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Possess at least 2 years of OR experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Da Vinci robotic systems.
• Have experience supporting orthopedic, urology, and general surgeries; familiarity with total joints and spine cases preferred.
• Able to work flexible shift hours and be available for on-call duties approximately 6-8 times in a 6-week period.
• Maintain strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
