Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a busy Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely, compassionate, and safe patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon arrival, utilizing professional judgment and clinical skills.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
• Monitor patient status continuously, including cardiac monitoring and vital signs, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Cerner electronic documentation system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, demonstrating respectful and compassionate behavior.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and patient experience standards, including AIDET.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume emergency department.
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (or obtain within specified timeframes).
• Demonstrate proficiency with GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Cerner documentation.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, coaching, and real-time feedback skills.
• Showcase flexibility to work across all areas of the ED and adapt to varying patient needs.
