Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients while adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized birth plans.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs continuously during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, including BLS, ACLS, and NRP protocols.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Float to other units as needed to assist with patient care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Travel experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
