Job Summary:
Provide specialized neuro care to patients in a high-acuity neurological unit. Deliver comprehensive nursing services with a focus on stroke, neurosurgical, and neurological disorder management.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and implement individualized care plans for neuro patients.
• Administer medications, including titratable drips as per physician orders.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, verifying readings with monitor techs.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient updates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RTs and physicians for optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about neurological diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state registration.
• Strong neuro nursing experience, including stroke, neurosurgery, or neurological disorders.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
• Must have NIHSS certification in hand at time of submission.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to manage complex patient needs including G-tube care and titrating infusions.
