Job Summary:

The Neuro/PCU RN provides specialized care for patients with neurological conditions, ensuring optimal recovery and stabilization. This position involves delegating tasks, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care during the night shift.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans for neuro and stepdown patients.
• Administer medications and treatments following prescribed orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and neurological status, escalating concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.
• Document patient interventions, responses, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with all certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHS.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Demonstrate competence in telemetry and neuro-specific assessments.
• Be proficient in using the Epic electronic health record system.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHS certifications.
• Exhibit strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
