Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including ventilator management, airway support, and assessment. The role ensures compliance with clinical protocols while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and evaluations.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, humidity, mechanical ventilation, nebulizers, and airway management techniques.
• Set up and operate ventilators such as Servo U, Hamilton G5, and T1 transport ventilators, ensuring proper function and safety.
• Conduct ABGs and EKGs during designated hours, documenting findings accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Maintain equipment and ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Respiratory Therapist license with either RRT credential or CRT license held prior to July 1, 2022.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in NICU, ICU, or adult floors, with independent intubation skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ventilator management, including Servo U and Hamilton G5 models.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
• EMR proficiency, preferably with EPIC system; previous NICU experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP certification preferred, with an addition date of 12/15/2025.
