Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult surgical patients in a 34-bed Medical Surgical unit. Ensure patient safety and comfort through professional, compassionate, and efficient clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative care for surgical patients.
• Utilize equipment such as vital signs machines, IV & PCA pumps, and EMR systems to document and track patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements, including BLS and ACLS, and adhere to facility policies.
• Floating to other units/departments as needed to ensure optimal patient care coverage.

Qualifications:

• Possess and maintain Hawaii RN license prior to start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN with proficiency in surgical pre/postoperative care.
• Strong knowledge of adult surgical procedures including abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, and chest tubes.
• Demonstrate solid skills in using EMR/charting systems and clinical equipment.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
