Job Summary:
A MedSurg RN is responsible for providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical conditions regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Document patient care activities and updates in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license; pending license accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a medical-surgical environment.
• Current BLS, ACLS, (and PALS if required) certifications through AHA.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility or on a case-by-case basis if within 75-100 miles.
