Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit. Deliver high-quality patient support, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications, including titrable drips such as heparin, Bumex, and Lasix, following facility protocols.
• Monitor telemetry and quickly respond to alarms or abnormal readings.
• Perform patient care duties including vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and positioning.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and other staff to ensure proper patient care coordination.
• Titrate infusions with exceptions, avoiding cardiac drip titration where specified.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Ability to perform titrations on drips such as heparin, Bumex, and Lasix.
• Must be adaptable to floating to other units as needed.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including rotating days and nights.
• Accepts new graduate RNs with appropriate certifications and training.
