Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, supporting safe childbirth experiences and maternal health. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and comply with hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health status promptly upon admission and continuously monitor throughout labor.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, pain management options, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with physicians, obstetricians, and support staff to develop and adjust care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Document patient interactions and clinical findings in electronic health records accurately.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with valid certification in obstetric or maternity nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and emergency obstetric procedures.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
