Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments, therapies, and interventions according to physician orders
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies as needed to optimize outcomes
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, including intubation and ventilator management
• Document patient care and progress accurately in medical records
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment to ensure safety and compliance
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment plans

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Care program
• Valid Virginia Respiratory Therapy license or equivalent credential
• Current BLS certification via American Heart Association
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certificate required
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
• Minimum of two years of hands-on respiratory therapy experience
